Mission
Our mission is to build a community of ocean changemakers with a passion for conservation, exploration, and science.
We provide opportunities in the ocean to people from all walks of life with a special focus on programs for children, underrepresented and diverse communities, and students in the environmental sector.
Typically, gaining experience in the ocean comes with a large bill, making it inaccessible. With fundraising efforts, Bleu World works to reduce or eliminate costs for ocean conservation and science on Catalina Island.
In the words of Baba Dioum, “We will love only what we understand and we will understand only what we are taught.”
Education is the first step.
Bleu World prioritizes education in all ocean experiences by training individuals to work underwater and spreading awareness for the problems facing our oceans through cleanups and similar outreach events.
Understanding is the next step.
By leading coastal and underwater citizen science programs and marine research projects, Bleu World aids in the collection and contribution of data in and around our kelp forests.
Conservation is the ultimate goal.
Every experience offered by Bleu World brings ocean changemakers together to inspire positive change and preserve the ocean for future generations.
